Hashtag reveals what cabin crew life is really like (video)
The mystery surrounding what cabin crew are doing before you get on the plane has been revealed thanks to an Instagram hashtag.
Not unlike many other professions, it appears that cabin crew are using their very own hashtag on Instagram to secretly share what they get up to during those quieter moments on board.

Using #overheadbin, air stewards and stewardesses are sharing photos of themselves tucked away in the overhead locker, above the seats on planes.

Having a browse through the pictures even suggests that this may be a right of passage for fledgling cabin crew with some images tagged with #tradition, #crewlife and #friendlyskies as well.

The photos serve to prove that however big you think your hand luggage is, you must be able to squeeze it into the overhead bin because, well, you can fit a human in there!
Another popular air travel hashtag is #crewlife which gives us another chance to delve into the lives of the people who spend their time in the sky.

Photos tagged with this show everything from images of the cockpit, cabin crew at work and also unfortunate images of some passengers asleep on board!
So, next time you're boarding a plane remember two things - don't question whether or not you can fit your back in the overhead locker and keep an eye out for snap-happy cabin crew.
