A double glazing salesman from Bristol has been handed a harassment warning after reportedly plaguing a customer (pictured above) with as many as 33 calls a day.

Wayne Donnelly said he first came across the Safestyle salesman in January when he came to the house with a quote for £8,500.

Mr Donnelly says he managed to get the quote down to £3,600 before the salesman tried to get him to sign contract, the Bristol Post reports.

Unsure of the deal, Mr Donnelly told the salesman who he said "did not take it well."

He asked him to leave the property and subsequently complained to the company about his behaviour.

He added: "From then on I started to get more and more unknown phone calls where someone was just hanging up."

According to Mr Donnelly the calls became more and more frequent and the caller started to make threats about 'ruining his businesses'.

He got in touch with Vodafone to try and block the persistent caller; the company gave him the 'unknown' phone number.

According to the Western Daily Press, Wayne called the number back and says: "It suddenly just dawned on me who I was speaking to. I asked him if he worked for Safestyle and he said yes. I told him I was going to the police,"

He added: "To me it feels like they try to bully people into getting new windows and they cannot allow their staff to treat people like that."

The company have since apologised to Mr Donnelly and have given him a discount on their products.
A Safestyle spokesman said: "The behaviour of the sales agent, as highlighted by Mr Donnelly, was entirely unacceptable and inappropriate and is not tolerated by Safestyle UK. As a result his agency agreement has been terminated."

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed they were investigating Mr Donnelly's allegations and said a harassment warning had been given to a suspect from Birmingham.

He said: "A harassment warning informs the suspect that an allegation has been made against them.
