Flight attendant turns comedienne in hilarious safety demo (video)

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant had plane passengers in fits of giggles with an inflight safety demonstration that could have been a comedy act.

The clip has gone viral and has now been viewed over 15 million times on YouTube.

The woman, called Marty Cobb, says she's had a "long day" before she launches into her joke-infused demo.

She starts: "Position your seatbelts hard and low across your hips like my grandmother wears her support bra."

Passengers react to her immediately and are clearly enjoying the show. She also says: "You'll notice in the highly unlikely event the captain lands near a hot tub everybody gets their own teeny weeny yellow bikini.

"No smoking, no whining, no complaining. No smoking in the lavatory - the fine is $2,000 and if you wanted to pay that for your air fare you should have flown with somebody else!"

She also makes wisecracks about annoying babies, and the chance of the cabin experiencing a loss of pressure.

Towards the end, she adds: "If there's anything at all we can do to make your flight more enjoyable, please tell us ... just as soon as we land in Salt Lake City. And if there's anything you can do to make our flight more enjoyable, we'll tell you immediately. We're not shy in Southwest."

She then finishes: "Sit back and relax, or you can sit up and be tense.

"That's what we call very cheap entertainment, you didn't need to pay extra, but you certainly don't get a refund."

It certainly meant passengers took notice - instead of just pretending to.
