Celebrate the centenary of the Chelsea Flower Show
Synonymous with Spring is the Chelsea Flower Show, a spectacular celebration of the best gardening has to offer. Formerly the Great Spring Show, the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show was first held at its current home at the Royal Hospital in May 1913.

Since then, it has regularly seen royals, celebrities, a host of gardening greats and hundreds of thousands of visitors marvel at its displays of horticulture, from the best blooms to the avant garde garden.

This year's event marks 100 years of the iconic show in its current guise, and as such there is an exciting line-up of centenary events.
Highlighting the changes to gardens and gardening over the last 100 years, the Generation Gardens will be a must-see, and visitors will be able to vote for their 'Plant of the Centenary' as part of the display. Meanwhile, an extraordinary exhibition of photographs from the show's 100 years will be on display, and for those keen to celebrate in style, Friday evening will see a concert hosted with Opera Holland Park take place, with food, drink and music to mark this momentous occasion.

Similarly fascinating displays are on show with the 11 Fresh Gardens, where design gurus let their imaginations run wild, and the Artisan Gardens, showcasing intriguing ideas for small spaces.
Last but not least, the Floral Pavilion will feature magnificent displays of plants, from the favourites of old, to the new and exciting.
