A British air stewardess who worked for Emirates has fallen to her death from a Dubai skyscraper.

Evelyn Clarke, 28, died from multiple injuries after falling from a tower block window on Sunday following a night out with friends, according to the Daily Mail.

At the present time, foul play or suicide are not suspected.

Ms Clarke had been living in Dubai with friends, but was originally from Ayrshire. It is thought her family in Irvine have been too upset to comment.

But devastated friends have set up a memorial page for Ms Clarke on Facebook, which describes her as "always smiling, always happy", and "beautiful, graceful, and glamorous".

One friend wrote: "She wanted to travel the world and see as much as possible, she couldn't get enough of it. Her positive attitude and energy could light up the whole sky. Those who have met her, will never forget her."

Another paid tribute, saying: "She had a heart of gold and she wanted to help everyone in need."

Speaking in the Daily Telegraph, a Foreign Office spokesman said: "We can confirm the death of a British national in Dubai and we are providing consular assistance at this sad time."

The news comes just weeks after a British bride died after falling from a hotel window on her honeymoon in Dubai.

Abbie Emmett, 27, reportedly fell out of the window of the hotel where she was staying with her new husband, Sean Emmett, a MotoGP racer, just days after marrying in Cape Town.
