Student becomes youngest British woman to reach top of Mount Everest

A student can now lay claim to being the youngest British woman ever to reach the top of Mount Everest.
Mollie Hughes, 21, from Bristol, made it to the summit of the mountain, which stands at 26,247ft. It is 29,029ft above sea level, making it the highest mountain in the world.
Miss Hughes is currently making her way back down from the summit.
According to The Sun, Mollie said before she left: "I'm feeling confident but a little bit apprehensive about the climb.
She said that she had had to wait more than a week for a weather window before starting the ascent.
Mum Jane Spreckley, from Torbay, Devon, told the newspaper: "We're all beyond proud of Mollie.
"She's dedicated her life to today and has raised an incredible £2,500 for her charity Action Aid.
"I still haven't managed to speak to Molly but the group radioed to base camp to say they had made it safely.
"We are extremely relieved to hear everything has gone well and she is fine - we can't wait to hear all about it."
Meanwhile, three mountaineers were killed last week descending from the summit of Everest, and two are missing presumed dead.
The three victims all succumbed to altitude sickness on their way down the south east ridge, according to a report in the Mirror.
