Kelly Brook certainly knew how to attract attention to Boris Johnson's upcoming Sky Ride event in London - by jumping on one of his bikes in a teeny-tiny pink minidress.

The model attempted to garner interest in the event by taking to the cycle paths around Potters Field Park.

But Kelly didn't go it alone - she was joined by Mayor of London Boris Johnson himself as the pair launched the initiative, revealing details of the 7.2-mile city centre route ahead of the Sky Ride event on Sunday 4 September.

The roads of London will be traffic-free from 9.30am to 4.30pm for the occasion, with cyclists able take in the sights of St James's Park, Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London and London Bridge on the route.

Kelly has worked with Boris on the Sky Ride event for the last couple of years and she told the Daily Mail: 'Cycling is a fun way to spend time with friends and keep in shape. This will be my third year supporting the Mayor of London's Sky Ride and I can't wait for the 4th September to come around.

'It's such a fantastic way to get out on your bike and enjoy the sights of the capital in your own time, with friends or family.

'Plus there is loads of stuff going on throughout the day to enjoy on and off your bike. So what are you waiting for? Come down and join me for a fun-packed family day out!'

Boris Johnson added: 'London's fantastic Sky Ride is going from strength to strength, helping people of all ages and experience to enjoy the capital's most iconic sights on two wheels.
'I urge people to dust off their saddles for this free and family-friendly event to enjoy whizzing through the city on traffic free roads.

'This is a key part of my cycling revolution which aims to make London a cycle-friendly city, encouraging more and more people that pedal power is the way forward.'
