Britain scrimps on spending on older people

Those pesky older people cost us a fortune. How are we supposed to keep ourselves in Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirts and Ugg boots when we have to spend a fortune on taxes to keep older people in luxuries like meals on wheels and someone to help them get dressed in the morning?

So it will come as a huge comfort to thousands to learn that at least we're better off than 16 out of 20 of our European counterparts, who are forced to fork out even more.
