Headphones can kill, warn young campaigners

Youth campaigners will today tell an international safety conference that iPods and MP3 players are increasingly putting the lives of young drivers and pedestrians in danger.

The Tune into Traffic campaign has found that 75% of young people admitted to listening to music while crossing the road, and young drivers are being increasingly distracted by devices whilst on the move.

The Safety 2010 conference takes place in London this week and will hear evidence from experts from around the world.
