Citroen's 'Anti Retro' DS3 adverts

Citroen has enlisted the help of two major celebrities to help sell its new DS3 supermini – but rather than Bono or Cameron Diaz, it has gone for Marilyn Monroe and John Lennon.

Despite using the two distinctly retro stars, Citroen is trying to say that the new DS3 is a brand new car rather than one that is a remodelled version of an old classic – such as the new Mini and the Fiat 500.

Perhaps if Citroen wanted to really convince us the DS3 was an all new car, then giving it a name that it hadn't already made famous in the fifties and sixties would have been a good start. Click below to see the two videos.
