Being proposed to at the Eiffel Tower may be a cliché, but clichés are clichés for a reason – it would be pretty romantic.

Certain spots throughout the world are more popular to pop the question at than others, though surprisingly, the Paris’ famous Tower is only the twelfth on the list.

Jewellery company Avanti analysed more than 10,000 photos on Instagram by looking for the hashtags #proposal, #shesaidyes, #amazingproposal, #ononeknee and #beautifulproposal to create a list of the most popular proposal locations in the world (well, amongst Instagram fans anyway).
