Although cyber bullying is never OK, some say it's part and parcel of giving the world an AAA pass to your private life. But, what happens when you can't take another inflammatory or off-topic message? You clap back, that's what.

The American-Israeli actor Natalie Portman was forced to defend herself after an article appeared over the weekend claiming she was pregnant. 'Natalie Portman steps out seemingly with a baby bump in Sydney' read the headline, something Portman clapped back at on her Instagram story not long after.

'Hey, so I'm totally not pregnant... but apparently it's still OK in 2021 for anyone to speculate and comment on a woman's body shape whenever they want? Do better @NYPOST,' she wrote, followed by an eye-rolling emoji. Portman is currently in Sydney filming her latest film 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.

Pop-songstress Dua Lipa captioned a recent glowing Instagram snap with a baby emoji, something that sparked commenters to ask if she was pregnant. Whilst the caption has now been removed, she addressed the rumours during a virtual appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

'I like finding little random emojis, like a little baby bottle or angels and sparkles.'

'I really didn't think this through and I posted it and then I look at the comments and somebody says, "is she pregnant?" And I look at the picture, I look at the comment, I look at the picture, I look at the comment, and I'm like, "surely I don't look pregnant?"'

We're shocked people still need to hear this but: Stop asking women if they're pregnant. For so many reasons, stop.

After trolls criticised her outfits over the warmer months – saying that they were 'too revealing' while she was presenting on BBC1 series Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer – Maya took to Twitter to slam people for 'hyper sexualising' her body.

Now, in a new interview, the host has elaborated on her feelings. 'I've always worn the same thing but when I was slimmer nobody commented on it and as soon as you have got a fuller figure people are shocked and insulted by your body, so I found it ridiculous,' she told the Daily Mail.

'I've been wearing the same outfits, the same cut tops, my entire career and there was never really that many comments on it until I started putting on a bit of weight.' She added: 'It's a woman's body – I don't feel like it should cause such outrage. I'm going to continue to dress how I've always dressed no matter what size I am.'As to how she feels about her body?

'Everybody has got different ideas of what they have as an ideal body shape, some people want to look really skinny, some people want to look really curvy, some people don't care, some people really do care.'It depends on each person, it's subjective. 'So I just do what makes me happy and in terms of my body, I prefer myself as fuller.'

Chrissy Teigen is not one to shy away from snapping back, coming out with some of favourite shut downs of all time.

After she posted a video of herself in a black swimsuit on Instagram, she took to Twitter to clap back at trolls who criticised her body.'Everyone [is] used to surgically enhanced curves. I've been a square my whole life and let me tell you, it's paid off nicely in many ways!' she wrote. 'I'm happy, John's happy, we [are] all happy and doing a-okay,' she continued.

Jameela Jamil stood up for Teigen and replied, 'I loved the video. Didn't see a shape. Just saw fire.'

'I've gotten used to my right angle bod,' said Chrissy. 'You'd think people have seen it enough that it doesn't shock them anymore but nope lol.'

Another Kardashian sister who's got no time for trolling - Kourtney dismissed fan speculation that she's pregnant after posting this pic on Instagram.

'I've been pregnant three times, I know what my body looks like,' said the mother-of-three on an Instagram Live.

She admitted that she 'did take [the comments] offensively,' even though she'd joked about them at first. 'We live in this social media world where people think they should comment. Everyone has such vastly different opinions,' she said.

'To me it's very feminine to have curves and I embrace my body.'

Responding to trolls who cruelly mocked her pregnancy weight gain and 'giant chocolate raisin' back mole via the comments section of Mail Online, Lucy Meck set the record straight by addressing the hate up front on her Instagram.

The anonymous comments stated that she had 'gone fat in the face', something Mecklenburgh responded to saying: 'Yep I have a mole on my back and have gained weight 8 months pregnant', followed by an 'eye roll' emoji.

Pleading with people to be kind, Mecklenburgh said: '[M]ost importantly the people writing these comments please, please seek help and find out where all your bitterness stems from! How would you feel if someone said the comments you have, to you or someone you love?'

Mecklenburgh also took to her Instagram stories to share insight from other women who experienced vile trolling on their pregnancy weight gain.

Gemma Atkinson has responded to weird, nasty and downright mean comments she's received online. Taking to Instagram, the new mum responded to critics in a lengthy caption.

Atkinson highlighted the four types of comments she has been receiving: The first being centred around how the female body is supposedly 'ruined' after having a baby, second about never being able to achieve your desired shape again, third about the physical toll of looking after a baby and fourth was criticising Atkinson for allegedly prioritising working out over looking after her daughter Mia.

Atkinson responded to her trolls by counteracting each of their points and 'proving them all wrong'.

The Bachelor runner-up took to Instagram to explain the shocking
comments on her body image after being snapped on the beach in her new bikini.

Calling out commenters, she posted numerous screenshots of the trolls that deemed it acceptable to pick at her figure. These included: 'Burn that swimsuit immediately’; ‘Saggy all over. Shed some pounds or wear clothes that actually suit and fit; 'For someone who goes to the gym, she sure is loose’.

In her lengthy caption, Abbie said: ‘these comments don’t necessarily affect me, it sucks to read, but I remember that I am grateful for my body and all that it does for me, and I move on.’ ‘What really concerns me is that people who aren’t as comfortable in themselves as I am will read this and internalise the views of others’

She continued. ‘I’m a size 8, I am the size that is SUPPOSED to be conventionally ‘attractive’ (WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN BUT OK).

‘How the F*CK are people supposed to love themselves when people in the public eye of ALL sizes are being ridiculed for having normal bodies.’As for her final plea? 'STOP commenting on women’s bodies and debating whether or not we are ~allowed~ to wear bikinis. It isn’t your place.'

Bebe Rexha has revealed that a male music executive told her that she was ‘too old’ for posting ‘sexy pics’.

Taking to Instagram to comment on the experience, she posted a firm two fingers up to the man in question, by sharing a black and white shot of her in her underwear.

Writing in the accompanying caption, Bebe said: 'I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was confusing.'‘Because...I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are suppose to do, especially for my age. I’m 29.’

The Say My Name singer added: ‘I’m fed up with being put in a box. I make my own rules.’

‘I’m tired of women getting labeled as “hags” when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age.’

Bebe also posted a quote from late Star Wars star Carrie Fisher to her Instagram story, saying 'men don't age better than women, they're just allowed to age.'

With her 30th birthday fast approaching, the star said she’s ‘not running away’ from her thirties but instead embraces her age and all the qualities that are associated with it.

‘Anyways,I’m turning 30 on August 30 and you know what, I’m not running away from it. I’m not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound “younger.” 'I’m

In an Instagram post featuring a photo of herself in her early twenties, the 28-year-old singer shared that, until half a year ago, she wanted to 'erase' her former self.

Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘6 months ago this girl was someone I just wanted to forget. I wanted to erase her from my mind and everyone else’s memory... Up until now I hated her not because she’d ever done anything bad but because I was made to hate her by endless amounts of trolling.'

'I refused to speak about how I was feeling for so long. I was embarrassed and scared to. But I was so wrong to feel that way. Please if you are feeling how I did, SPEAK ABOUT IT. Talk to your family, speak to your friends, there’s always help out there.'

'If you’d have told that girl one day you won’t feel sad anymore, I’d

Actress and yoga teacher Hilaria Baldwin has revealed the ruthless online trolling she's experienced, via a series of Instagram stories.

Baldwin – who revealed that she had miscarried earlier this month after previously losing a pregnancy earlier this year – shared how she had received numerous cruel comments from trolls who have allegedly been attacking her for telling her story of baby loss.

In response to the trolls, Baldwin's stories said:

'Losing a baby at any stage is rock bottom,' she wrote.

‘Rock bottom sucks,’ she continued. ‘But rock bottom is also eye-opening. Because you understand and have experienced true pain. It makes the trolls seem even smaller than they usually are. Because no words they can use can ever compare to what you have lost.'

She continued to say that people who choose to ‘bully’ women who've suffered miscarriages, ‘are bringing a cruelty to the world that is wrong. You are contributing to feelings of shame, fear, insufferable pain.’

And that ‘because of societal pressure, most of us stay silent. And this can be one of the loneliest pains possible’.

Baldwin said her decision to be candid about her miscarriage came as a gesture of ‘love and support’ to women who have experienced the same pain.

Actress Shay Mitchell recently gave birth to her first daughter, Atlas Noa, with boyfriend Matte Babel.

In her latest Instagram post, she shared a glam photo of herself breastfeeding baby Atlas, and she looks gorgeous.'Breast friends,' she captioned her post.

While most were here for it, Mitchell received some hate from one particular follower.

'I'm a fan of her, but this picture just says it's an attention getter.
She's not even looking at the baby, she's not connected with the baby she's connected with the camera,' they commented.

To which Shay clapped back, 'I missed the part in the baby
books that stated I had to maintain eye contact with my daughter while she feeds rather than capturing an amazing moment we were having. Pls let me know where I can download your parenting manual, I'll get right on it!'

Rather than directing your anger at them (and I know this is easier said than done), try to empathise with them.'

'Learn about their circumstances. WHY did they say what they said? WHAT do they have going on in their personal situation? WHO made them think that it’s okay to talk to people that way? The more you understand the person who has bullied you, the more you can understand why they said what they did.⁣'

The 24-year-old beauty posted a snap to her Instagram of her
pre-pilates, cooking up a storm - so far so good - when someone decided to inform her she needed to do more squats.

The Insta-troll wrote: 'You need more squats because that booty flat'.

Ianthe had some choice words for her follower…

'I'm only dignifying this puerile comment with a reply because it's
something I feel incredibly strongly about. I don't see where you get
off determining how a woman SHOULD look.

'Luckily you have chosen to body-shame on a woman who is comfortable in her own skin, so much so that petty comments like these will never phase me. However, with all the unrealistic beauty standards out there, there are women who unfortunately will listen and I would much rather spend my time praising and building the confidence of these individuals rather than going out of my way to pick out, what I personally have chosen to perceive, as their flaws.

It all started when Khloe shared a photo of herself and Kris Jenner, with a sweet caption about how much she adores and appreciates her mum.

Cute, right? Well, one person didn’t appreciate the loving caption, and decided to instead accuse her of editing her pictures.

The user commented, 'would you keep IG if all photo editing apps were gone forever??? Lol', to which Khloe sassily replied, 'would you? Sometimes I wonder why people comment if it adds no value to ones life? Maybe I'm just different...but I don't care to be negative or passive aggressive. Our world is toxic enough as it is. It's sad people care to criticize something like an editing app. Let it go babes. Say something nice or just let it go. How does this serve you love?'

After another user implied that she had edited this particular photo, Khloe replied:

'But babe, how are you saying I Photoshopped my face if you really don't [know]? Did you alter this photo? I just don't understand how people are positive about certain things. But also I don't see how that affects anybody else's day. I believe everybody is beautiful in a multitude of ways! But by all means I don't think anything on the outside makes us beautiful. Having earlier posted a photo of her dying her hair, Davina who is, of course, an ambassador for Garnier home hair dye was
met with some criticism and returned to Instagram the next day,
defending her decision to colour her tresses at home.

'I seem to have annoyed a lot of hairdressers [who
are] saying I’m putting hairdressers out of business by doing it at home every three weeks,'

Davina said in a video she posted.'But I tell you what, I single-handedly am keeping the hairdressing industry alive with my two daughters who seem to spend their entire lives at the hairdressers, and my son who goes to the barbers.

'I’m not going to feel bad about colouring my hair at home because I can’t be bothered to go to the hairdressers every three weeks. That’s a lot,' she continued.

After addressing the hair dye debacle, Davina wanted to mention a few of her other lifestyle choices which have caused her to receive criticism online.

'And, I’m going to post pictures of chicken because yes, I eat chicken. And, I’m going to post pictures of myself in bikinis because I look fierce in a bikini and I don’t care what you think, ever. In fact, the more you don’t like it, the more I’m going to do it,' the presenter concluded with a chuckle.

Lady Gaga's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2017 was outstanding but trolls will be trolls, and took to Twitter to body shamer the singer instead. Gaga snapped back at the haters in an Instagram post a few days later.

'I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do," she wrote. "I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions.'
