All the best memes from the Great British Bake Off final
The Great British Bake Off has finished for another year, meaning Tuesday evenings are sadly no longer filled with one liners from Noel Fielding, Matt Lucas, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
We were equal parts happy and sad for the final episode of the show, which saw Laura Adlington, Peter Sawkins and Dave Friday tasked with making Prue Leith's Coffee Walnut Whirls, the perfect custard slices, and a showstopping cake. And while 20-year-old uni student Peter was crowned the well-deserved winner of GBBO 2020, the real champion was the memes. Here are the best ones from the final of The Great British Bake Off:
When Dave was too cool for the rest of us during the showstopper challenge
Dave sitting on a stool, eating raspberries and offering to help others as they rush to finish their showstoppers is the chilled out vibe we all need right now. #GBBO pic.twitter.com/4ujlbDVkeY

When they played *that* final montage
Went from a solid emotional keel to BAWLING at that montage? Rowan making waistcoats? Lottie visiting Marc and his kids? Peter's family's reaction? Dave's gorgeous new baby? IN. BITS. #GBBO #GBBOFinal pic.twitter.com/CazYLR1iud

When Laura admitted her custard was a bit of a disaster
The only positive thing I can take away from that bake is that I managed to nail the recipe for tubby custard... #GBBO pic.twitter.com/9IU7v7wvUd
