14 free agents Newcastle United can still sign as summer transfer window closes - gallery
Newcastle United enjoyed a productive summer transfer window as they look to challenge on a number of fronts this season.
The opening month of the Premier League season may well have been somewhat disappointing for Eddie Howe and his players - but there should still be belief that the Magpies manager can get things moving in the right direction after the international break as he looks to make the most of an impressive squad at St James Park.
The summer transfer window saw Italy international Sandro Tonali, Leicester City star Harvey Barnes, England Under-21 full-back Tino Livramento and Chelsea’s highly-rated youngster Lewis Hall all move to Tyneside. Odense winger Yankuba Minteh also joined the Magpies before agreeing to a season-long loan move to Dutch champions Feyenoord.
But with the transfer business over until January, there are still some eye-catching free agents still looking for clubs after leaving their previous employers earlier this summer.
