13 of the most iconic Glastonbury looks of all time

One of the most disappointing events to have been cancelled this year, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, has to be Glastonbury festival.

Set to take place this coming weekend (26th-28th June), today marks the day thousands of music fans would have been flocking to the festival site of Worthy Farm, in Pilton, Somerset for four days of good times, good food and listening to their favourite acts in the blazing sun.

But sadly, this year was not meant to be – although those lucky enough to score a ticket to the event this year won't miss out entirely; they'll be automatically enrolled into next year's guest-list.

As the momentous annual weekend draws near, we look back at some of the most iconic festival appearances over the years, on what would have been Glastonbury's 50th anniversary.

From Shirley Bassey's eye-catching feathered ensemble in 2007, to queen of cool Kate Moss rocking a gold, sparkly mini dress in 2005 with those Hunter wellies, to the show-stopping sequin number Beyonce wore to headline the Pyramid stage in 2011, these are the most iconic Glastonbury looks.

Don't forget to tune in to the BBC's Glastonbury experience across Radio 6 Music and iPlayer this weekend for iconic performances and Glastonbury moments.
