That's because not all gyms are created equal. Some have fancy changing rooms and top-notch classes, while others have flexible opening hours and every-sized weight you can think of to lunge at.
As a result, we're strong believers in trying before you buy - because not only do gym-goers spend an average of a a whole working day in their gym each week, but feeling comfortable in the place you workout is key to sticking to a training regime and getting those all-important results.
To help you make the right choice, we've rounded up nine complimentary gym trials around the UK - ranging from one to ten days - so you can do a workout recce before you commit to spending each month (the average Londoner shells out over £600 a year on their gym membership, FYI). Be savvy, and save your money for some pretty new gym kit. You're welcome.
