Whilst some runners were still getting to the finish line of yesterday’s London Marathon, others were already at home, listing their medals on eBay.

One runner listed a bundle starting at £120 that included his electronic chip, official T-shirt and medal.

Another 2019 runner said they had ‘no requirement’ for the medal after crossing the finish line of their 14th London Marathon.

Whilst some runners seem to be selling their medal to donate the funds to charity, other runners have admitted they have no requirement for the medal, and would rather hold on to the memories of the race.

Of course, all the medals are listed as being in ‘mint condition’, being less than 24 hours old.

More than 40,000 runners took part in yesterday’s race, won by Eliud Kipchoge. The event celebrated raising £1 billion for charity.

The ballot for the 2020 race is now open.
